Thank You!
Wow! Over $50,000! Thank you all so much for your support, the Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game simply wouldn't exist without all of you!

What's Next
Now that the campaign has ended, the journey is only beginning-- here's what you can expect, going forward:

  • Payment Collection: At some point over the next 2 weeks, Kickstarter will charge your credit card for your pledge. This will likely happen in the next 2 days, but it could take up to 14 days for you to be charged. If there is an error, you'll receive an email from Kickstarter to fix it.
  • All-In Pledge Split: All-In backers will receive an email so you can let us know if you want to split your pledge to receive existing content as soon as possible (paying an extra shipping charge) or just receive everything all at once, when everything is ready.
  • Progress Updates: We will finalize all our files, including the new stretch goal content, and then we'll begin printing the game! You'll receive progress updates from us to keep you in the loop and show you behind-the-scenes stuff.
  • Pledge Manager: In the next month or two, we will open the pledge manager. This is your way to verify your shipping address, and you'll be able to add on extra product that you missed out on. The pledge manager will remain open until we get close to shipping your games. If you were a VIP backer before the campaign, this is where your foil cards will get automatically added to your pledge.
  • Game Delivery: We're on track for an October 2024 delivery!

In the meantime, you can sit back and relax! We'll keep you updated over Kickstarter, but if you're excited to talk about the game more, consider joining the Solis Game Studio Discord. We have lots of folks talking about the Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game, and playing Pocket Paragons online over Tabletop Simulator and by webcam!

Cheers,

Chris Solis, Brian McKay, Kroze Kresky, and the rest of the Solis Game Studio Team

Congratulations everyone!

Thanks to all of your support, Radiant Yellow will now be available in the Massive-Verse Team-Up Expansion box!! His temporal powers will help you forsee victory over your opponents!

With that, if you get the Team-Up Expansion along with the main box, you'll be able to play with all four of the Radiants and see which one comes out on top!

But wait, what's this?? Another Paragon is now waiting to be unlocked?!?!

You got it! Apparently not content as the leader of The 5yndicate, at $42,000 Shift's ambitions to be a full Paragon will be achieved! He'll be added to the Team-Up Expansion box too!

Shift will do anything to cut his way to the front of the pack, even if it includes a little bit of casual murder here and there. His kit is all about getting the edge on his opponent by turning their own plays against them!

When he enters the battlefield, you can be sure that SHIFT JUST GOT REAL!

The Final Battle

We are in the home stretch now folks! Less than 72 hours remain! This project has gotten pretty MASSIVE already, but if we all team up, the roster will be even more spectacular!

The Griffin Design Blog
7 months ago – Fri, Mar 15, 2024 at 02:46:30 PM

Welcome to the designer blog for The Griffin! Be warned that this article has spoilers for the Inferno Girl Red comics, which I highly recommend you read, if you haven’t already! The Griffin is the servant of a dark force known only as the Void. He intends to sacrifice the best and brightest minds of Apex City to the Void, which is only the first step towards wiping out all of existence. In the Massive-Verse Card Game, The Griffin can sacrifice his own cards for bursts of power. If his schemes don’t succeed, he’ll be left with nothing.

The Griffin can permanently lose one of his cards in order to ready another card. Instead of playing Rest to recover his cards and expose himself to an Execute, he can keep the pressure on at all times. It’s a powerful feeling never having to Rest, but it should be carefully used or else you’ll burn yourself out of resources too quickly.

Disintegration Blast is your go-to for high damage, and re-using it even once can add on a lot of damage in a short period of time. But you should be careful about throwing it out every other turn– there’s a harsh drawback if you’re countered. Sealing this ability locks it away for an additional time it would be readied, and although your passive can help mitigate that as well, it’s putting you in a very difficult position.

Each of your other abilities come with small bonuses when they are banished, which happen on top of the usual benefit of getting to ready a card! Even your Rest can be sacrificed to get an additional card back, but that is a tremendous sacrifice– if you lose your Rest and run out of abilities to play, you lose the game! But each banished card also builds up towards a terrifying finale– your Ultimate, Memento Mori, can unleash 6 damage if it’s your very last card! — Brian McKay.

An inside look at the Kickstarter exclusive: The 5yndicate!
7 months ago – Thu, Mar 14, 2024 at 01:38:54 PM

Welcome to the designer blog for our Kickstarter-exclusive character, The 5yndicate! This article contains light spoilers for the Radiant Black comics.

The 5yndicate is a team of villains who have alien technology powered by the Radiants. In order to keep using their tech to carry out their crimes, they have to recharge by draining the energy from the Radiant heroes! The team is made up of 5 different villains (hence the 5 in their name), and with this Paragon deck, they’re all working together!

When you open up The 5yndicate, you’ll notice some extra cards– 13 cards in total! Each of the members of the 5yndicate is represented on one of your 5 abilities, and you’ll get two different versions of each of your attacks. Before the game starts, you’ll pick one of each pair, saving the others for later. Whenever you play Rest, you can make an adjustment on the fly, switching to a different one of your abilities.

Mecha is the heavy-hitter of The 5yndicate, and he can pulverize your enemies into the ground with his repeatable 2-damage ability. If you find that your enemy is blocking or countering you well enough that you can’t rely on Pulverize, you can swap it out to Indestructible which offers both offensive and defensive power.

Shift is the head of The 5yndicate and his deadly demeanor makes him the Weapon of the team. He can teleport through your defenses with an unblockable 3 damage, and later in the game when your enemy has unlocked their Ultimate, he can simply shut it down by draining all its power. Don’t take it personally, it’s just business.

The 5yndicate’s tech is powered by the Radiants, and their Ultimate is directly powered by your opponent’s energy. Your enemy will want to spend their energy as soon as they can to keep your own ultimate low, but that predictability can be punished with a well-timed Defend or a counter from Shift. Enemy characters that are dependent on getting a high level of energy to turn on their moves will just be helping out The 5yndicate!

The 5yndicate is included for free to all backers as an exclusive part of the Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game Kickstarter! Brian McKay
